Psychiatrist Jobs in North Vancouver, BC

A Psychiatrist is a critical player in the mental health industry. They are medical doctors who specialize in mental health, including substance use disorders. Psychiatrists are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological issues. Their job involves diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication. To become a Psychiatrist, a medical degree is required, followed by completed residency training in psychiatry. They should also be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
