Description
JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Clinician
JOB SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for providing professional comprehensive mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and case management for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. The Clinician works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery and promote well-being.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions and treatment planning.
- Coordinate care with other service providers, including medical, psychiatric, and social service professionals.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and remain informed of best practices in behavioral health.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and resources for recovery and self-sufficiency.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education training.
- Respond to crises and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
SUPERVISED BY: Hired, supervised, and evaluated by the Director of the Brief, Evaluation, Assessment, Treatments (B.E.A.T.) Department.

Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with EMR systems (e.g. Nextgen or similar).
- Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education masters degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Licensure (or license eligible): Indiana LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in behavioral health or related setting.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May require evening or weekend hours depending on program needs.
- Occasional travel between facility sites or community partners.
- Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
