TLC—The Treatment and Learning Centers is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1950 in Rockville, MD that annually serves more than 2,200 children and adults with a wide range of special needs. Our mission is to improve the lives and expand possibilities for these individuals through offering a family of services within one organization.
TLC’s 200+ professional staff have the utmost personal concern to provide the best therapy, education, support and care possible. Our staff and innovative programs continue to provide a foundation for the achievement of greater personal independence and success for our clients, from the youngest child to the oldest adult.
As a non-profit organization, TLC is competitively priced and we seek to provide the best value for the dollar to our clients. Subsidies and scholarships may also be available to eligible families.
TLC is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees comprised of compassionate citizens and community business leaders that works closely with the Senior Leadership Team. The Medical Advisory Board and Consumer Advisory Board also provide guidance and support.
