Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with current valid license in Pennsylvania, and current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in Pennsylvania.
Must complete child abuse, and other clearances, and be willing to be credentialed by Medicaid and other insurers.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices, and treatment competency demonstrated through clinical experience, continuing education, and professional references.
Familiarity with use of electronic medical records, electronic prescribing, email, and other forms of electronic communication and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Provide diagnostic evaluations and ongoing treatment of patients and families, as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team at a Child and Family Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Some patients may be participants in Family-Based Behavioral Health Services.
Provide comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations, medication management, case consultation, treatment planning review, collaboration and regular meeting with program director and child psychotherapy teams. Psychiatrist may have opportunity to provide some individual and/or family psychotherapy as opportunity and interest permit.
